Irene Campbell - The Podcaster

What do people know about the Bronx? For a place few have been, they generate a lot of negative attention. Our next Suit Spotlight feature, Irene Campbell, is letting the residents speak for themselves with her new podcast - Last Borough Standing.

Irene is first generation Jamaican and longtime Bronx resident, and she’s had enough of the Bronx slander. With over a decade of media experience advocating for others in media and advertising, she turned her focus to help spotlight the community that helped make her who she is. It's through platforms like hers that misconceptions can be challenged and a more accurate, positive narrative can emerge.

There’s more to the Bronx than Yankee Stadium and the Zoo. The podcast available on YouTube captures the Bronx at its best - the food (the best Jamaican food in New York), the flair and diversity of the people, and all the vibrant small businesses. The beauty of the Bronx is that it’s the last borough to be gentrified and as a result, it is one of the few places that captures the true essence of New York. The grit, the grind, and the desire to win against all odds.

Irene, thank you for your support. For not just wearing Always In Pursuit but for living it. Thank you for choosing to share your hometown with the world. For giving us a look at the brilliance and resilience that is the Bronx. But most importantly, for doing your part to leave the BX better than you found it. Not only for you but for your son Kayden.

Irene is wearing Fresh Start Blazer and Pants.
